Remember that scene in Life Aquatic where Steve Zissou tells us about his boat? It's the kind of cinematic magic that still has directors and designers in awe. Now, picture this: a client not only greenlights but encourages you to put your spin on that scene to showcase their unique capability. That's precisely what happened with IBM.
We packed our bags and headed to Capetown, South Africa, where we rolled up our sleeves and built a multi-floor stage shaped like a cloud. This cloud served as the whimsical backdrop for reimagining IBM's blockchain.
Casting, choreography, and creative problem-solving went on for nearly three weeks. It all of paid off during three marvelous days of shooting. It was a journey of creativity, collaboration, and a touch of magic to bring this theatrical vision to life.
We leaned into camera trickery, editorial magic, and a touch of vfx to play up the fun and storytelling.
